Virginia & Vanessa

virginia woolf and vanessa woolf sisters book writer and illustrator on one more good one

The relationship between Virginia Woolf and her sister Vanessa Bell was intense, excessive, and built on the foundations of an artistic rivalry which galvanized them throughout their lives. While Virginia became the great modernist writer than we know of, Vanessa took to painting, producing works admired for their novelty. brooklyn artist potter ceramist universal isaac nichols group partner on one more good one

On the Road Illustrated

on the road by jack kerouac illustrated by paul rogers on one more good one

I've recently finished reading Big Sur by Jack Kerouac, a 1962 novel part of Kerouac's Duluoz Legend series, and I think I've liked it even more than I liked his cult classic On the road, that I read a few years ago. Being reunited with Jack Duluoz and his crew, particularly with the great Dean "Cody" Moriarty was exhilarating. It got me thinking about this incredible illustrated version of On the road by artist Paul Rogers that I stumbled upon back then.
